Early Childhood Education & Care
This qualification (CHC30121) is a level three qualification developed within the Education and care Services National Regulations. The knowledge and skills acquired in this course, prepare students for employment in the Child Care and Early Education sectors. Topics of learning covered throughout this course include providing care to children, babies and toddlers, cultural awareness, ethical and legal practices, nutrition information, first aid, WH&S and holistic development strategies.
Please note: completion of this qualification includes a mandatory vocational placement component where students must complete a minimum of 160 hours of placement in a relevant workplace throughout their studies.

Completion requirements
To be awarded this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 17 units of competency, consisting of:
- 15 core units, plus
- 2 elective units
- Including mandatory work placement hours.
