The Brisbane North West Technical Training Centre is a modern, well-equipped facility specialising in training for the electrotechnology, engineering and automotive trades, as well as for the health, hospitality, aviation and supply chain industries. Centrally located at Mitchelton State High School, the centre serves the training needs of state, Catholic, and independent schools in the Brisbane North West area, including Mount Maria College, The Gap State High School, and Mitchelton State High School.
As the major technical and trade training venue in Brisbane’s North West, the centre is increasingly making its facilities and resources (including workshops, training rooms and offices) available for hire to local businesses, registered training organisations, and community groups. The Brisbane North West Technical Training Centre was established as one of 126 training centres funded under the Trade Training Centres in Schools Program; a $2.5 billion Commonwealth Government initiative from 2008 to 2017 for secondary schools across Australia.
