This pilot program aims to support students who are ready to progress from formal schooling to their future trade. Attending BNWTTTC full-time, they will complete compressed senior Maths & English programs, their trade preparation course, and other courses that enable them to attain their QCE in one school year.
Trades
AUR20720 Certificate II in Automotive Vocational Preparation is a qualification that will provide you with the basic skills and knowledge required to perform workplace tasks in the automotive industry or enter an apprenticeship role.
UEE22020 Certificate II in Electrotechnology will provide students with foundational knowledge, skills and insight into the processes and requirements for working on-site in the electrical services industry.
MEM20422 Certificate II in Engineering Pathways will give students foundational skills and knowledge in a range of engineering and manufacturing tasks and provides a foundation for entry into apprenticeships, traineeships and employment.
11054NAT Certificate II in Plumbing Services can establish a basis for further education and employment as an apprentice Plumber, Gas Fitter, Roof Plumber, or Plumber (Mechanical Services). In addition to completing qualification and unit requirements, students must complete a minimum of 80 Hours of Work Placement within the Plumbing Industry.
NOTE: Vocational Placement will require extensive time commitment.
CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways provides a pathway to the primary trades in the construction industry with the exception of plumbing. Trade outcomes are predominantly achieved through an Australian Apprenticeship and this qualification allows for inclusion of skills suited for entry to off-site occupations, such as joinery as well as carpentry, bricklaying and other occupations in general construction.
Non-Trade Courses
BSB50120 Diploma of Business provides students with knowledge and skills in business leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, team work, meeting facilitation and project management.
HLT23221 Certificate II in Health Support Services reflects the role of workers who provide support for the effective functioning of health services. You'll learn how to communicate and work in health or community services, work with diverse people, apply basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control, and participate in workplace health and safety.
HLT33021 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance reflects the role of an Allied Health Assistant. You'll learn how to interpret and apply medical terminolgy, communicate and work in health or community services, work with diverse people, assist with an allied health program, recognise impact of health conditions, apply basic priciples and practices of infection prevention and control, and participate in workplace health and safety.
To achieve this qualification, the student must also complete at least 120 hours of clinical placement.
Students must have completed the Cert II Health Support Services with this RTO to be eligible to progress to the Cert III Allied Health Assitance.
Conservation & Ecosystem Management
AHC21024 equips you with practical, field-based conservation skills for maintaining and restoring natural environments. You’ll learn to recognise plants and fauna, manage weeds, collect seeds, and implement ecological restoration techniques, preparing you for real-world conservation work or further study in environmental management.
Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation
This qualification reflects the roles of individuals working in the resources and infrastructure industries who perform mainly routine tasks and procedures, using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge, and taking some responsibility for the quality of the work outcomes.
This course provides a foundation and introductory knowledge for individuals interested in working in the Resources or Infrastructure sectors, in a trade or support capacity.
Community Services – Early Childhood
This qualification (CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services) is an entry-level qualification for workforce entry as community services workers who provide a first point of contact and assist individuals in meeting their immediate needs. Our course will focus on working on Early Childhood education and care.
Completion of this course will support gaining employment in Childcare, after-school care roles, and progression to further VET qualifications.
Work Placement is encouraged for successful completion of this course.
