Certificate II in Electrotechnology

This course (UEE22020) provides students with insight into the electrotechnology discipline. Students will learn basic skills including the safety processes required to work on-site, readying them for entry level roles or apprenticeships in the the electrical industry. Students may enter this course at the start of Year 11, mid Year 11(where available​) and at the start of Year 12.

Pathway outcomes

The Certificate II in Electrotechnology can establish a basis for further education, training and employment in the fields of:

  • electrical and electronics
  • engineering
  • renewable energy
  • refrigeration and air-conditioning
  • computer aided design operation

Completion requirements

This qualification will be granted when competency is demonstrated and achieved for 13 units of competency, delivered by the registered training organisation. These include:

  • 6 core units, plus
  • 7 elective units
